ScanPass Pro — subscription terms

Version 1.15. Last updated 4 November 2026.

The English version is the authoritative one. The Hebrew, Russian and Arabic versions are convenience translations.

In practice: review the extracted details before using them. A subscription renews monthly unless renewal is cancelled. Cancelling renewal and requesting a refund are separate actions. A partial refund leaves access active and is reviewed manually. Mandatory rights under applicable law remain unchanged.

These terms are between you, the subscribing organisation, and Naftali Ravinov, 26 HaShoshanim St, Nof HaGalil, Israel, who provides ScanPass Pro ("we"). The person who buys the subscription accepts these terms for the organisation and confirms they may do so; your users use the application under these terms.

1. What you are buying

The subscription gives one named user access to ScanPass Pro while their entitlement is active. At present the online checkout sells one user per subscription. Sign in using the email address used for payment and the sign-in link or code sent to it. Activation may take a short time. To change an address or discuss additional users, contact support@scanpasspro.com; do not share one user’s access among several people.

A user is one named person with their own sign-in address. If more people use the application than you pay for, we may bill the difference from when it began.

You are buying access, not a copy. No source code, no perpetual licence, and no right to resell, sublicense or redistribute the software.

The companion browser extension is not included in this subscription. It is offered only as bespoke work, under a separate written agreement and priced for each engagement.

2. Price and billing

3. Cancellation, refunds, and what happens to your data

Cancel renewal using the management link in your Paddle purchase email or Paddle.net; if you cannot find it, contact support@scanpasspro.com. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period. A refund request is separate and is handled under Paddle's refund policy and applicable law. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be waived. After a full refund is approved, contact support to coordinate the end of online access and any future renewal with Paddle. Refund approval and cancelling renewal are separate actions. A partial refund keeps access active and is reviewed manually.

The working passenger list and scan images are temporary and are not automatically written to disk. Explicitly export or save what you want to keep before reloading or closing. Exported files remain where you saved them and must be secured by you; cancellation does not delete them. The extension holds a separate temporary copy. Customer, billing and sign-in records follow our privacy policy.

An already loaded copy of the application may remain usable offline after your entitlement ends. This does not extend your licence: you must stop using it when your entitlement ends. Cancelling renewal takes effect as described above and does not delete your exported files.

4. Availability

We aim to keep the hosted application available. There is no guaranteed uptime unless agreed in a separate written service agreement. Recognition can work without the internet after the necessary files and models have loaded. A first visit, missing files, a cleared cache or some account and payment actions require a connection.

5. Support

Support is available at support@scanpasspro.com in Hebrew or English. We aim to reply within two business days; a guaranteed response time requires a separate written service agreement. Support covers the application, not your equipment, network, browser or third-party supplier websites.

6. What the software does and does not promise

ScanPass Pro reads the machine-readable zone of travel documents and is designed to refuse a read that fails its check digits rather than present it as correct. We do not guarantee that every result is correct. Apart from what these terms say, the application is provided as it is: to the extent the law allows, we give no other promise or warranty, express or implied.

It is nevertheless an assistive tool, not an authority. The passenger name carries no check digit and cannot be verified arithmetically. Every scan must be reviewed by a person against the document before it is used. You remain responsible for the accuracy of what you file with airlines, insurers, hotels and authorities, and for any cost arising from an incorrect booking.

ScanPass Pro is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by any airline, insurer, reservation system (such as Amadeus or Sabre), government or supplier website. Names of such systems are used only to describe compatibility. Those sites can change their pages at any time, which may stop a copy, export or fill from working with them; we do not guarantee compatibility with any third-party website.

7. Your obligations

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, or for a material breach of these terms that is not corrected within 14 days of notice under clause 13. You may terminate at any time under clause 3.

We may suspend access at once, and then tell you, if sign-in codes are shared outside your organisation or if continuing would put the service or other customers at risk. We may improve and change the application at any time; we give 30 days' notice under clause 13 before removing a main feature or stopping the service. If we stop it, the subscription ends and fees paid for the time after that are refunded through Paddle.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the subscription is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, or costs arising from a booking made on unreviewed scan output.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms with 30 days' notice under clause 13. Continued use after they take effect is acceptance. If you do not accept, cancel before the effective date.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Israel, and the competent courts of the Nazareth district in Israel have exclusive jurisdiction.

12. Language versions

These terms are published in English, Hebrew, Russian and Arabic. The English version is the authoritative one. The Hebrew, Russian and Arabic versions are provided for convenience only; if they differ from the English, the English version governs. If you find a discrepancy between them, write to support@scanpasspro.com before relying on the clause in question, and we will correct it.

13. General

Cookies & storage

This section explains the cookies and browser storage used by ScanPass Pro. The items below apply according to the features you use. Passport recognition takes place on your device; account and payment services are handled separately.

  • Sign-in: signed scanpass_access cookie, up to 365 days for email sign-in or 30 days for the shared-password route; scanpass_challenge, up to 15 minutes; scanpass_device, a random identifier for the computer you sign in on, for the same period as the sign-in. Online entitlement is checked separately. For email sign-in, these cookies include your email address. They contain no passport fields, and the device identifier describes neither you nor the computer. For each sign-in address we keep how many computers it has signed in on and when each was first and last seen, so that a subscription is used by the people it covers. We do not keep a network address, a browser description or a location.
  • Preferences: language, export columns, scanner settings, locally recorded terms version and demo counter remain until changed or site data is cleared. Clearing the counter does not delete exported files.
  • Offline use: the browser keeps application files and recognition models. It may also remember access to a folder you selected, without keeping a copy of that folder's files. You can manage site data and folder permissions separately in browser settings.
  • Passport results are held temporarily in page memory. Refreshing does not remove downloads, clipboard history, synchronised folders or the extension's separate storage. The extension expires passenger data after 45 minutes without a new scan or Fill; suspension can delay cleanup.
  • Payment: Paddle loads when you choose to open checkout. Paddle and its providers receive connection and transaction information and may use their own storage. Their retention and processing differ from the application's local storage.
  • You can clear site data or block cookies in browser settings. This may sign you out, reset preferences or prevent payment and offline use. We do not add advertising or scan analytics to the recognition path.
